Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan model and actor who is active primarily in Indian cinema. Fernandez was also crowned the winner in the prestigious year 2006 Miss Sri Lanka Universe pageant. Fernandez, who is of Canadian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and multiracial descent has spent a large portion of her childhood in Bahrain. Following her mass communications diploma from the University of Sydney, she was employed in Sri Lanka as a television reporter for a few years prior to getting into the model industry. In 2006 she made her debut as Miss Universe and became one of the models with the highest popularity in Sri Lanka. As of 2009, on the course of her professional journey to India she landed the part as Jasmine in Sujoy Ghosh's film 'Aladin'. Her first major role came in 2011 when she was selected to play the role of female lead Priya in the film 'Murder 2'. Fernandez had a successful professional career in the aftermath of this film which was both a success at the box office as well as with critics. Since then, she has appeared in movies like Housefull 2 and 3, "Race 2," "Definition of Fear' and the film 'Judwaa'. The actress has received numerous awards and is a brand ambassador of several international companies. She's a dedicated volunteer in the community and supports numerous charity and causes.
