American actor and rapper Earl Simmons was born December 18 1970 and passed away April 9 2021. His debut album It's dark and hell is hot was released in 1998. He began rapping during the 1990s. 251,000 copies of the album were sold within the first week. [5][6] DMX's best-selling album,... and Then There Was X, was released in 1999. The album featured the hit single "Party Up (Up In Here). His 2003 singles "Where is the Hood At?" Commercially, his 2003 singles "Where the Hood Is?" and "X Gon"X Gon Ya" were extremely successful. The artist was the first in history to make an album that debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 charts five times consecutively. Seven times DMX sold more than 74 million albums around the world. 8 DMX was featured in films such as Belly, Romeo Must Die and Exit Wounds. He played DMX: Soul of a Man in the 2006 reality TV series. The show was broadcast on the BET cable television network Never Die Alone. He published an autobiography of his personal memoirs, E.A.R.L. in 2003. : The Autobiography of DMX. [9] DMX was just 14 when he started beatboxing at Ready Ron. After having served time for the theft of dogs, he decided to compose lyrics of his own. He also performed at the local recreation center for children less than 14 years old. In 1988, when he was being imprisoned for carjacking, the rapper began dedicating all of his free time to writing lyrics and also meeting with K-Solo and rapping. The release came in the summer of 1988, and then began to release and market his own mixtapes. In these mixes, the rapper rapped on songs from other artists and sold them on streets corners. This helped him establish his own fan base in New York. Percee P as well as DMX were featured on The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show 1991, where they improvised.
