Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics took place in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was the U.S.'s only female gymnast to be awarded four gold medals. Biles also took home the title of world champion for all-around three times consecutively (2013-15). Biles was raised in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was introduced to the sport of gymnastics through her daycare teacher Aimee Borman at just six years old. Biles stayed with Bannon's Gymnastix for eleven years. Biles earned a silver in vaulting in the year 2010 as well as a bronze at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to competitions at the elite level in the year 2011. The following year, Biles dominated the sport. Biles was notable for her consistent performance, exuberant persona, and the difficulty she encountered in all four events including vault, bars with uneven surfaces, and the balance beam.
